What We Believe

Bible

We believe the Bible, encompassed of Old and New Testament, is fully and verbally inspired by God and therefore inerrant and infallible in the original writings and completely and perfectly true and trustworthy in all areas in which they speak. The Holy Scriptures are the first and final authority for the believer. The central message of salvation and essential doctrines of the Christian faith are clearly revealed and accessible to all.

God

We believe that there is only one God that He has revealed Himself in the Bible.  The Bible teaches that there is one God, who exists in three eternally distinct persons: the Father, Son, and Holy spirit, who are co-equal and co-eternal; three Eternal Persons in One Eternal, Triune Being.

Father

We believe that the Father is the eternal First Person of the Trinity and source of all that God is and does. The Father is the designer of creation, the speaker of revelation, author of redemption, and sovereign of history.

Son

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Second Person of the Trinity, who took upon Himself human flesh through the miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Christ is perfectly divine and human, united in one person forever. He lived a perfect and sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, rose literally, physically, and bodily from the dead, and ascended into Heaven where He presently serves as our only High Priest, Mediator and Intercessor between God and man. Christ will return literally, physically, and bodily to the Earth as King of kings and Lord of lords will judge the living and the dead.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the eternal Third Person of the Trinity, the Regenerator and Sanctifier of the saved, the Bestower of spiritual fruit and gifts, and the abiding Advocate who empowers believers for godly living and service.

Sin & Salvation

Sin
We believe the first man, Adam, willfully disobeyed God, bringing sin and death into the world. Because of this, all persons are born sinners, which is evidenced by their sinful nature, and are therefore subject to eternal punishment in hell, under the just condemnation and mercy of a holy God.

Salvation

We believe that each person can be saved only through Jesus Christ's sacrifice of atonement on the cross by putting their faith alone in His blood He shed upon Calvary. We are saved from God's wrath solely by His grace on account of Christ alone.

Christian Church

We believe the Christian church is the body and bride of Christ that is composed of all people from every nation, tongue, and tribe that have put their faith alone in Jesus Christ and have been born again. As God's children, we strive to worship, serve, and glorify God through prayer and praise, diligent study and application of the Scriptures, evangelism, sanctified living, good works, and observance of the rites of baptism and the Lord's Supper. The mission of the church is to make disciples of all nations through the gospel and to glorify God in every aspect of life until Christ returns.
